Quarterback Kanan Hansen enjoyed a big night against Memorial, connecting on 14 of 22 passes for 272 yards and all five Wolves touchdowns in a 34-10 victory.
Sante Fe mustered only a field goal in a first round playoff contest at Union. The Wolves have not been shut out since a season opening 3-0 loss to Midwest City in 2013.

OFFENSE
As the saying goes third time’s a charm and head coach Kyle White probably hopes that saying holds true as he gets ready for his third year with the program. The Wolves are returning seven offensive starters with quarterback Kanan Hansen (6-3, 165, Sr.) leading his team for another season of action. Hansen in his junior season completed 138 passes for 1524 yards and scored 12 touchdowns. Having a 55% completion rate and adding five interceptions to the mix, Hansen will have to work on his accuracy and ability to not force a play for his team and himself to have a better 2018 season. The hard-working players for the Wolves will be offensive linemen Rey Burnett (6-5, 310, Sr.), Trae Anderson (6-3, 280, Sr.) and Evan Maples (6-4, 260, Jr.). if the linemen can play their cards right, they will give this team a lot of time to execute plays in the air and on the ground having one of the biggest lines in the state. Catching the ball from Hansen will be wide receivers Braden Reichert (6-0, 170, Sr.) and Jake Woods (5-8, 180, Sr.). The two will have to step up this season getting more playing time and opportunities for receptions with losing a few players of last year’s team at the wide receiver position. Last season they combined for 172 yards receiving with Jack Woods scoring one touchdowns amongst the two of them.
DEFENSE
The defense this years will be returning six of last season offensive starts with safety Kamron Love (6-1, 160, Sr.) being one of the few coming back. Love had a total of 46 tackles last season with two of those resulting in a loss of yards. He also can get to the ball in the air, recording four interceptions for his team in 2017. The stealthy defensive line in the Wolves 4-2-5 defensive formation will consist of defensive ends Trace Ford (6-3, 230, Sr.) and Michael Pope (6-3, 220, Sr). Both getting playing time last season, Ford tackled the other team 46 times with one tackle for a loss and Pope recorded 38 tackles while also getting one tackle for a loss. Another player on the line will be defensive lineman Terrance Hill (6-2, 230, Sr.), who didn’t seem to get the most playing time last season but during his efforts got 15 tackles for his team with one sack. A linebacker that the team will be looking for defensive production this season will be Junious Gaston, who last season got 25 tackles for his team and two tackles for loss. The assistant staff this season will be Chris Rose, Mike Coats, Wes Crossmen, Caden MacNeil, Todd Bonnewell, Lance Tignor, Roger Pieffer, Joe Peeler and Damon Turner.
