EDMOND PUBLIC SCHOOLS SERVICE AWARD - SHAWN CLAY
Senior Master Sergeant Shawn Clay is a member of the USAF Reserves at Tinker AFB. Sergeant Clay joined the US Navy in 2000 as an F/A-18 fighter aircraft mechanic and made several deployments for post 9/11 operations aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz. In 2004 he joined the US Air Force as a KC-135 technician serving at Tinker AFB, OK Sergeant Clay made multiple overseas deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Inherent Resolve. Sergeant Clay continues to serve today as a member of the elite Aircraft Battle Damage Repair Team supporting the B-52, B-1, E-3, KC-135, and C-130 aircraft needing extensive repair beyond the capability of field technicians both locally and overseas.
