On Wednesday, April 5, the Lady Wolves varsity girls golf team traveled to Kingfisher to participate in the Kingfisher Lady Jacket tournament.
The weather wasn't nearly as warm as the two previous days, but the air and the shots began to warm up as the day progressed.
Sophomore Adelynn Cunningham shot a 94 on the day, her best score this season and junior Ethney Clark also added a low-94 on her card.
Each of the girls played in a Maxwell format, where the girls all play together in a group. This pairing allows the team to watch each other, help each other, but most of all... enjoy each other's company while on the golf course.
"I'm very proud of the work that these girls all put in each week," head coach Mike Morton said. "They are all getting better each day, and that's all that we ask of them--to be better than when they came in."
The girls varsity and JV teams will play at Lake Hefner Golf course on Wednesday, April 13th, and their last regular season tournament is the Pre-Regional Tournament at Westwood Golf Course in Norman, OK.
