Yesterday, the Lady Wolves varsity golf team traveled south to Westwood Golf Park in Norman for their final regular season golf tournament. Southmoore High School hosted their Pre-Regional (6A) Tournament in beautiful weather and there were some very low scores shot in the field.
Sophomore Adelynn Cunningham posted her best score of the year with a 91 and led the team in scoring. She finished her round with a birdie on the par-5 16th hole to cap a day where her iron play and drives off the tee-box were placing her in positions to score well.
The ladies hope to continue their momentum from the last several tournaments into the 6A Regionals next Tuesday. The OSSAA is sending girls teams from Enid, Deer Creek (Edmond), and Santa Fe to the East Regional, which will be held at the Ponca City Country Club on April 25th.
