The spirit of giving was demonstrated by the Santa Fe women's golf team and several members of the men's golf team from October 8th to October 31st.... right before the Thanksgiving holiday season.
The players went out into the Santa Fe neighborhoods and delivered over 100 grocery bags, with messages of giving pantry items to the Project 66 charity. After a week, the players returned to the houses and picked up food/donations that were left on the doorsteps, and returned to the school... like Santa's elves. Classes at Santa Fe were also involved in the food drive event.
Overall, the players delivered over 400 pounds of groceries that were used for families and individuals as Thanksgiving meals within the Edmond school district. Both golf teams would like to thank the many donors and the classes who helped to make this holiday season a thankful one for many families.
