DREW MCCARTY
Coach McCarty is in his 4th year as the head coach of the volleyball program. He was an assistant coach at Santa Fe for 1 year, before taking over as the head coach.
Coach McCarty is a 2011 graduate of Santa Fe High School. He also coaches club volleyball as the 12-1 Elite Head Coach, bringing more than 16 years of coaching experience at both the high school and club levels.
Drew McCarty is a 2011 graduate of Santa Fe High School and currently serves as the Head Volleyball Coach at Edmond Santa Fe High School. He also coaches club volleyball as the 12-1 Elite Head Coach, bringing more than 16 years of coaching experience at both the high school and club levels.
Throughout his club coaching career, Drew has led teams at multiple age groups, serving as head coach for 12-2, 13-3, 14-2, and 14-1 teams, while also assisting with 15-1, 16-1, and 16-2 squads. During his time at Oklahoma Peak, his teams have qualified for USAV Nationals five times. In addition to indoor volleyball, Drew previously served as the Beach Coordinator for Peak Beach, helping grow and develop the club’s beach volleyball program.
Before returning to his alma mater, Drew coached at Edmond Memorial, Casady, Deer Creek, and Cheyenne Middle School. His passion for athlete development and building strong team cultures has been a hallmark of his coaching career.
Outside of volleyball, Drew is a Biology teacher and enjoys spending time with his wife, Julie, and their daughter, Bryn. When he’s away from the gym, you can usually find him on the golf course.
