Head girls soccer coach, Melissa Thompson, has been coaching at Santa Fe for 13 of her 18 years, and teaches Biology.

Coach Thompson attended high school at Deer Creek High School, and while there, played basketball, soccer and ran track.  Upon graduation, she played soccer at Oklahoma City University under Coach Brian Harvey for 2 years. She later transferred to the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) where she received her B.S. in Biology. 

Thompson started teaching in 2005, and taught 6th Grade Science at Belle Isle Middle School for 2 years.  For the next 8 years, Coach Thompson taught Biology at Deer Creek and started her coaching career.  Her next move landed her at Santa Fe, where she was the assistant coach for 2 years, then took over the head coaching position.
