(Norman) On Monday, March 25th, the varsity women's golf team traveled to Westwood Golf Course for Southmoore golf tournament. The ladies shook off the Spring Break cob-webs, battled the chilly winds, and sloshed through the wet terrain to take 8th place of the the 16 team field.
After missing her entire junior year, due to injury, senior Karson Merrill led the way for the ladies, shooting an 84 and placing tied for 11th place. In playing their first varsity tournament, sophomore Ivy Harris shot a 92 and freshman Riley Jones shot a 99. Seniors Alina Prabhu and Kendall Holland will also look to better their scores in their next tournament.
The ladies will travel to Lake Hefner Golf Course (South course) this Saturday for the Yukon varsity tournament with a shotgun start at 8:30 am.
