In the First Game of the day. Even though the Wolves gave up six runs in the seventh inning, they still defeated Lawton 12-9 on Monday. The offensive onslaught by Lawton was led by Denton Lee, Bryson Glass, Zach Tracey, Elijah Reyes, and Harmon Newell, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning. Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. Santa Fe collected ten hits and Lawton had nine. Edmond Santa Fe took an early lead in the second inning. The Wolves scored one run when Dominic Johnson singled. Santa Fe took the lead for good with one run in the third inning. In the third Ryan Lowery grounded out, scoring one run. The Wolves scored seven runs in the sixth inning. Conner Stevens, Trace Ford, Johnson, Jase White, Nixon Petitt, and Lowery all drove in runs in the frame. Stevens was the winning pitcher for Santa Fe. He surrendered zero runs on three hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking zero. Blake Robertson and Petitt entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Robertson recorded the last four outs to earn the save for Santa Fe . Newell took the loss for Lawton. He went five innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits and striking out four. Braden Reichert started the game for the Wolves. He went two and a third innings, allowing three runs on three hits, striking out three and walking one Edmond Santa Fe W totaled ten hits in the game. Dondi King and Johnson each had multiple hits. King led Santa Fe with three hits in three at bats. Lawton saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game. Reyes and Eric Wiley all had multiple hits for Lawton. In game two Edmond Santa Fe defeated Lawton 14-4 on Monday thanks in part to Conner Stevens, who drove in four runners. Stevens drove in runs on a triple in the fifth and a single in the sixth. Edmond Santa Fe earned the victory despite allowing Lawton to score four runs in the sixth inning. Kyler Jenderseck, Denton Lee, and Bryson Glass powered the big inning with RBIs. The Wolves fired up the offense in the first inning. Edmond Santa Fe scored one run when Blake Robertson doubled. The Wolves notched five runs in the sixth inning. Freddie Utt, Stevens, and Trace Ford all drove in runs in the frame. Dondi King led things off on the hill for Santa Fe Wolves. He surrendered three runs on one hit over five innings, striking out six. Kaden Henley toed the rubber for Lawton. He surrendered seven runs on seven hits over four innings, striking out seven. Glass threw one inning in relief. Edmond Santa Fe tallied 11 hits on the day. Stevens, Robertson, Ryan Lowery, and Dominic Johnson all had multiple hits for the Wolves. Stevens led Edmond Santa Fe Wolves Varsity with three hits in four at bats. Edmond Santa Fe stole nine bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Johnson led the way with three.
