In the Deer Creek vs. Edmond Santa Fe game, the girls came out with energy, motivation and focus. After coming off a 5 game winning streak, the Lady Wolves knew what they needed to do to give the #1 ranked team in the state a competitive game: play the way Edmond Santa Fe has been known to play.
Our leading scorer, Madison Hill, had 15 points which included 4 3-point baskets. Each one of her 3’s came at big points in the game. Our next leading scorer, Brooklyn Long, had 12 points, followed by Shakira Patterson with 11 points, Kaylee Nero with 10 points, Kashell Daughty with 9 points, Ahoneste Walker with 8 points and Jayda Holiman with 4 points.
Walking away from Deer Creek, our girls left with their heads held high knowing that they played a great game. In less than two weeks, the Lady Wolves will face off again with the Lady Antlers at home. We will make adjustments and we will be ready for another good game. We can choose to focus on the L as a loss or we can focus on the L as a chance to learn; learn what we can do better, learn what we can do different, learn where we can work harder so the next time, we can walk away with a W.
