FRESHMEN GET WIN AT YUKON!!
MONDAY, OCTOBER 12TH

The Freshmen Santa Fe Football Team beat Yukon 21-13 this past Monday. All three phases of the team played well.

The defense held the difficult Yukon option offense to just one touchdown in the game!! The defense was led by Drelen Nero, Alex Jones, Will Shoemaker, and Elijah Warrior. The defense twice held out Yukon inside the 10 yard line forcing Yukon to just field goals on those drives. The defense also came up with key turnover in the game.

The offense had a great night scoring on the only two possessions they had in the first half and then adding a key touchdown drive late in the 2nd half. Both quarterbacks Bergin Kysar and Nik Rhodes played well. Bergin had each a rushing and passing touchdown in the first half. Nik led a key second half drive by making several key throws to help extend the lead. Isaiah Lee Bolding caught a touchdown from a long pass from Bergin Kysar and had several other receptions with two of them being big plays. Receivers Khamari James and MaRaceon Gilstrap and tight end Easton Spitler added some key receptions in the game. The offensive line and running back Joseph Hinton had a good game. Hinton ran hard and scored the last touchdown of the game.

Special teams did a solid job and helped with the victory. The victory over Yukon gives the freshmen football team a record 3 wins and 2 losses on the season. The freshmen next play at Norman North on Monday, October 26th, and then finish up the season at home verse Enid on Monday, November 2nd.
