The Santa Fe boys made it to the championship game at the Jenks/Union basketball tournament over the weekend, but could only leave with the runner-up plaque as Jenks defeated them 52-57. Tabry Shettron (All-Tournament team) had a huge game with 25 points and 13 rebounds.

In the opening round, the Wolves beat Mustang (for the second time this season) by a slim margin, 53-48. Talyn Shettron led the way with 21 points and 6 boards. Then on Friday in the semis, the boys played the host team Tulsa Union and got by them, 57-53. Talyn Shettron again paced the team with 12 points while Colby Onyekuru grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds.

Michael Reeves was another all-tournament selection who had a big weekend. He averaged over 10 points a game for Santa Fe while dishing out almost 4 assists per contest. Assistant coach Dan Pendergrass was pleased with the result. "We are not playing our best basketball at the moment and yet we are still beating some good teams. Our best is still yet to come."

Next up the team travels to Norman on Friday night to take on the Tigers. Game time is 7:30 pm. Go Wolves!
