On Friday and Saturday of last week (May 12 & 13) the boys and girls track teams competed at the 6A State High School track meet, which was hosted at Yukon High School The girls took 3rd place, behind Edmond rival Memorial, who took 1st place, and Jenks who took 2nd. Highlighting the weekend were 3 State Meet Records by Emmanuella Njenje in the 200m and 400m dash and the 4x200m Relay team (Nia Moore / Zoey Battles / Zoelie Deaton / Emmanuella Njenje). Two other state champs were crowned: Natalie Duggan in the 3200 m,and the 4x100m Relay team of Moore, Battles, Deaton, and Njenje. Overall Emmanuella Njenje took home 4 state champion medals, capping off a very successful senior year!
