On Friday, September 22, the Wolves football team hosted 15th Street rival Edmond Memorial in round 1 of "Edlam." It was the Wolves, who took a loss last season, who came out on top 54-7 in front of a filled home-side stadium.
Junior running back Damarius Robinson led the offense in scoring with 6 touchdowns, which set a school record for rushing touchdowns in a single game.
On the defensive side of the ball, it was the defensive line that put pressure on the Bulldog quarterbacks during the entire 4 quarters of play. Junior safety Rahnel Slaughter, who wore the #13 jersey Friday night, had 6 solo tackles (2 more assisted tackles), and 2 interceptions in the game, to stifle the Memorial offensive momentum.
The Wolves will have Edlam Part 2 this coming Friday night, Sept. 29, when Edmond North comes to Wolves Stadium where winner takes the title "Edmond City Champs." It is also HOMECOMING this Friday and kick-off is set to start at 7:00 pm.
