On Tuesday the Lady Wolves traveled to Norman High School to take on the Tigers. They came out victorious with a final score of 51-33.
Senior Jerney Bennett led the Lady Wolves with 15 points. She shot 2 for 3 from beyond the arc and 5 for 9 from the free-throw line. Bennett also led the defense with 2 blocks, 1 steal, and 3 defensive rebounds.
The Lady Wolves came out strong in the second half, holding Norman to 14 points, 3 of which came in the 4th quarter. Laiyanna Jethrow and Kyndal Williams aided the Lady Wolves with 27 points combined. Jethrow shot 100% from the 3-point and free-throw line. Overall the Lady Wolves shot well from the free-throw line, shooting 71.4%. This victory from Santa Fe puts the Lady Wolves 2-1 in district play before heading into the Norman tournament this weekend.
