Senior running back Demarius Robinson has a set pre-game routine to make sure he is playing to his full potential. He watches film from previous games and practices to look for new plays.
“The night before the game I take a shower, brush my teeth and wash my face,” Robinson said. “I always make sure to pray to god and get to sleep around 9:30.”
Robinson also has superstitions when it comes to his number.
“I have always worn #6 to represent my family; my mom, dad, two brothers and two sisters,” Robinson said.
Senior Tommy Hand likes to get a good night’s rest, wake up early and stay calm at school. To stay calm at school he listens to calming music, specifically classical music.
“I feel like if I change it up, it’s gonna mess up my vibe and my place,” linebacker Hand said.
When it comes to the pre-game routines, every player does things differently.
Junior Alexander Brannon always eats the same specific meal.
“Before the game I always get a Big Mac. Then I go to a gas station and get a Redbull and head back for warmups,” junior kicker Brannon said.
Similar to Robinson, junior Devontae Sartin is also superstitious in regards to his number.
“All the way through kindergarten to sixth grade I was #5. Then, once I moved to middle school football from seventh and eighth grade I was #10. So once I moved over to high school I combined the numbers to make #15, ” junior position Sartin said.
